Goals
Cumbria Constabulary needed an easy-to-use solution that would:
- Accelerate the process for receiving, reviewing, managing, tagging and sharing evidence
- Allow the public to electronically submit evidence to officers without needing to surrender mobile phones
- Enhance data security, mitigating the risk of lost or compromised evidence
- Reduce the time officers spend collecting evidence or on administration.
Results
Cumbria Constabulary implemented Axon Citizen, backed by Evidence.com, to enable every officer to quickly and easily receive and review evidence submissions. From the initial deployment, Cumbria has realised a number of major time and cost benefits, including a reduction in administrative work, loss of data, time spent on each case and training resources needed. The force has also seen an increase in evidential quality, public confidence, data security and early guilty verdicts.
